NHS Lanarkshire now runs a Minor Ailments service available at your local pharmacies. You can get more information about this service at this website here.
This is a new Scottish NHS service available for people, including children, who normally would not pay prescription charges (over 60’s, young people benefits).
This means that if your pharmacist thinks you need prescription medication then they can give you medicine on the NHS without you having to pay for it.
It will also save/ prevent you making an appointment with your GP simply to get a prescription. This is why we are asked to highlight this service on our website.
